Short Info About Steve Harpster

Steve Harpster has been a professional illustrator and author for over twenty years. During that time Harpster's work has been published in over one hundred books and his illustrations have appeared on products like T-shirts, stickers, and toys. Harpster now travels the country sharing his love of drawing and working to get kids excited about creating their own characters and books. Harpster's company, Harptoons, is influencing a new generation of artists, cartoonists, and writers. His many school visits are fueled by his drawing books and his weekly how-to-draw video series on YouTube. What makes Harptoons drawing lessons so unique is each lesson starts with a number or letter. These letters and numbers are magically turned into animals, monsters, and funny characters by just adding a few simple lines and shapes. The lessons allow kids of all ages to easily draw characters and then turn those characters into ideas for stories or comics. Harptoons drawing lessons are enjoyed by both kids and adults all over the world and fans regularly send or mail art for Harpster to share on his channel. Harpster does have an important message for all artists and that is "practice, practice, and more practice is the only way to get better at anything you do in life.
